Tidal Pool Ring is inspired by the small pools and softened hollows left behind as the tide recedes.

To create the central feature, I heat sterling silver until it becomes molten, then press into the surface with a round dapping tool as the silver cools. This creates the organic depression and irregular texture that gives each piece its own character.

The ring band is then hand fabricated from 2 mm round sterling silver wire. One end is melted into a softened molten form before the ring is soldered, hammered, shaped and polished by hand.

The open design gives the ring a contemporary feel and allows a small amount of flexibility in fit.
