A one-of-a-kind sterling silver ring, hand cast using beach sand to create its naturally textured surface.

This ring began as an experiment in bringing a little more of the coast into my sand casting. Beach sand was added to the mould before the molten silver was poured, leaving its own unpredictable marks and texture in the finished piece.

The result is an organic, tactile ring with a surface that could never be reproduced exactly. The small pits, grains and irregularities are part of the casting process and part of what makes this ring unique.

Hand cast and finished by me in my home studio in Sellicks Beach, South Australia.
