These one-of-a-kind earrings began as flat sheets of copper before being transformed entirely by hand in my home studio in Sellicks Beach, South Australia.
Each copper disc was carefully cut by hand before being shaped into a gentle dome using a dapping block. Once formed, I used heat from my jeweller's torch to create the rich natural colours across the copper surface.
The vibrant oranges, reds and purples are created by the metal itself as it reacts to heat—no paints or dyes are used.
Because the colours are created by fire, no two pairs will ever be identical. Every piece develops its own unique pattern and character.
The earrings are finished with sterling silver hooks, making them lightweight and comfortable enough for everyday wear while adding a warm pop of colour inspired by winter landscapes.
