Inspired by the wonderfully unpredictable nature of sand casting, this one-of-a-kind ring celebrates the beauty of embracing the unexpected.

Every sand cast begins with a hand-carved wax ring, which I press into sand to create the mould. I then place a single piece of copper into the impression before pouring molten sterling silver into the sand.

The exciting part is that sand casting is incredibly unpredictable. No two pours are ever the same, so every ring develops its own unique textures, shapes and personality. The copper feature becomes part of the story, creating a natural focal point that can never be repeated in exactly the same way.

The finished ring has been carefully polished to highlight the flowing organic form while allowing the texture created by the sand casting process to remain.
