Our Blood Plum Butter is a rich, smooth fruit preserve made by hand in small batches using seasonal blood plums, pure honey and lemon juice.
Each batch begins with ripe blood plums, slowly reduced until the fruit becomes thick, glossy and naturally smooth. Instead of refined sugar, this fruit butter is gently sweetened with honey, giving it a mellow sweetness that softens the tang of the plums without covering up their deep fruit flavour.
The result is spoonable, velvety and full-bodied, with a darker plum flavour than a standard jam and a softer sweetness from the honey.
This fruit butter is made in regional NSW as part of The Seasonal Companion’s small-batch preserve range, with a focus on real ingredients, seasonal produce and simple, generous flavour.
Uses:
Perfect on toast, fresh bread, pastries, croissants, pancakes or pikelets. It can also be spooned through yoghurt, porridge or ice cream, used as a dessert filling, or paired with brie, mascarpone or ricotta.
