Our Stone Fruit Chutney is a sharp, vinegar-forward chutney made by hand in small batches using fresh peaches & apricots grown in the Granite Belt, vinegar, onion and cayenne pepper.
Each batch begins with seasonal stone fruit slowly cooked with vinegar, sugar, onion, salt and cayenne pepper until the fruit softens into a thick, spoonable chutney. The long reduction gives it depth and balance, while the vinegar keeps it properly tangy and savoury rather than overly sweet.
The result is thick, softly pulpy and full-flavoured, with a sharp chutney backbone and medium spice warmth. This is a proper old-style chutney, made for cheese boards, cold meats and roast leftovers.
This chutney is made in regional NSW as part of The Seasonal Companion’s small-batch preserve range, with a focus on real ingredients, seasonal produce and simple, generous flavour.
