Our Cherry-Plum & Red Wine Preserve is a rich ruby fruit preserve made by hand in small batches using seasonal cherry plums, small-batch Chambourcin wine, vanilla and warm spice.
Each batch begins with sweet tart cherry-plums slowly cooked with raw sugar, Chambourcin wine, lemon juice, vanilla, star anise and orange zest until the fruit softens, deepens and develops a glossy preserve-style finish. The Chambourcin adds depth and a wine-forward richness, while the vanilla and spice sit gently behind the fruit without overpowering it.
The result is a medium-sweet preserve, warm spice complexity and a premium feel that makes it especially suited to cheese boards and grazing platters.
This preserve is made in regional NSW as part of The Seasonal Companion’s small-batch preserve range, with a focus on real ingredients, seasonal produce and simple, generous flavour.

Perfect with cheese boards, grazing platters, fresh bread, croissants, toast, yoghurt, pastries or desserts. It pairs especially well with brie, camembert, sharp cheddar, blue cheese, roast meats, vanilla ice cream or a simple sponge cake layer.
