Our Fig & Thyme Preserve is a rich, savoury-sweet fruit preserve made by hand in small batches using figs, thyme, sugar and small-batch white wine vinegar from a local producer.
Each batch begins with ripe figs slowly cooked until the fruit softens, thickens and develops a deep, spoonable texture. Thyme adds a gentle herbal note, while white wine vinegar gives the preserve a bright, savoury balance that keeps it from being overly sweet.
The result is glossy, rich and full-flavoured, with natural fig sweetness, light herbal depth and a clean vinegar lift. It sits beautifully between sweet and savoury, making it especially suited to cheese boards, grazing platters and roast meats.
This preserve is made in regional NSW as part of The Seasonal Companion’s small-batch preserve range, with a focus on real ingredients, seasonal produce and simple, generous flavour.

Perfect with cheese boards, grazing platters, fresh bread, crackers, roast meats, sandwiches, burgers, corn & zucchini fritters and pastries. It pairs especially well with brie, camembert, blue cheese, goat’s cheese, sharp cheddar, pork, lamb, chicken and roasted vegetables.
