Our Persimmon, Honey & Walnut Preserve is a mellow seasonal preserve made by hand in small batches using ripe persimmons grown on the Granite Belt, local honey, lemon juice, walnuts and gentle clove warmth.
Each batch begins with ripe persimmons slowly cooked until the fruit softens into a spoonable, softly set preserve. Honey adds a rounded sweetness, while lemon juice gives the preserve balance without making it sharp. Walnuts bring a light texture and richness, and cloves add a gentle warmth in the background.
The result is sweet, soft and comforting, with a low-acid fruit flavour and a cosy honeyed finish.
This preserve is made in regional NSW as part of The Seasonal Companion’s small-batch preserve range, with a focus on real ingredients, seasonal produce and simple, generous flavour.
Uses:
Perfect on toast, fresh bread, crumpets, yoghurt, porridge, pancakes or pikelets. It can also be served with cheese boards, grazing platters, pastries or desserts.
