Ferns: the houseplant you can't kill, because this one doesn't need watering.
It's bracken fern (Pteridium esculentum), an Australian native I collected on my conservation property in the Southern Tablelands of NSW. Then the sun did all the drawing, so every frond and leaflet is there in fine detail.
It's the simplest of my fern designs and the easiest to style, in deep blue and white. Hang it in a calm bedroom or bathroom, or give it to someone with a brand new home. And if you've lost a few real ferns over the years (no judgement), start here.

What is a cyanotype?
Cyanotype is a photographic process that's over 180 years old. I paint paper with a light-sensitive solution, lay real plants on top and let the sun do the rest. The plants leave white silhouettes on deep blue.
