A dandelion seed head is often called a clock. Each piece is an original contact print, not a digital reproduction, so it's life size. I painted the emulsion onto the paper by hand. I collected and pressed the specimens from my garden, my conservation property or my field work as an ecologist (under permit), and I reuse specimens where I can.

Care
Cyanotype is archival and can last for centuries. Keep it out of direct sunlight. UV-protective glass is best, but not essential. If the blue ever fades a little, put the artwork somewhere dark overnight and it will recover.
