Wambiyala the echidna, made entirely from native Australian flowers and printed by the sun. This art print is on 100% recycled paper, A4 or A3.
Gundungurra Elders of the Southern Tablelands of NSW gifted the name Wambiyala for this artwork. I arranged the flowers by hand into the shape of a short-beaked echidna (Tachyglossus aculeatus).

What is a cyanotype?
Cyanotype is a photographic process that's over 180 years old. I paint paper with a light-sensitive solution, lay real plants on top and let the sun do the rest. The plants leave white silhouettes on deep blue.
