Vibrant Fossil Fern Shopping Bag

This is a solidly-built bag, about the size of the supermarket 'green bags' but is made from natural cotton fabric, not woven plastic. There will never be another like it.

Fossil Fern is  a range of cotton fabric. I took samples of many colourways and reassembled them for the front of the bag. The back and bottom of the bag are solid Fossil Fern fabrics (purple/green and pink respectively). All surfaces have been padded and quilted for added strength with cotton wadding. The handles have more of the pieced work, reinforced with padding. The lining is a rainbow of soft colours, as it is easier to finD objects in a bag if the inside is not dark.

The bag measures 37 x 31 x 15.5 cm. The straps/handles are 4.5 x 44 cm each. The bag is washable in cold water, and I recommend drying in the shade to keep the colours vibrant.
