Made from a pair of jeans worn for many years, this unique, neat handbag or tote has jeans pockets both on the front and inside. The fabric colour varies as you’d expect for clothes that have been worn, with darker and lighter areas. It is lined with fabric left over from a quilt I made. The flap is held to the front by a press stud, with a metal and enamel button as a decoration. It is fully machine washable, as you would expect from old jeans, although protecting the star from hitting anything hard may be wise. The bag is 33 x 28.5 cm at the top and the handles are 51 x 3.5 cm. The bag is slightly wider at its base.
