Description
Daffodils (or narcissus) signal the arrival of spring. They are also the symbol of the Cancer Council.
This daffodil is an appliquéd flower, with details quilted in free-motion using black thread. The stem, leaves and background are also 'drawn' with quilting.
The back is quilted, but in a more subtle manner - using cream thread and waving lines. The handles are also quilted in cream, using an embroidery stitch, and are long enough to hold in the hand or go over the shoulder. The lining is a darker yellow with a lovely twisty pattern and mottled.
All of the fabric and threads are cotton. I recommend washing in cold water and drying in the shade.
The bag is 40cm x 34 cm and the handles are both 55 cm x 3.5 cm.
