Description
This was developed from a photograph of sunset I took while visiting Norfolk Island. The sky was painted in acrylic and then rearranged, the plants and rocks are pieced from fabric, and everything was stitched down (quilted). Finally the birds were added with paint. This is my own design, and unique.
The back is a fabric with a strong pattern, and the quilting shows.
The acrylic paint used is designed for fabric and has been heat-set so, if necessary, the hanging can be washed in cold water and dried in the shade. Some of the stitching is polyester, so a warm iron is recommended.
The hanging is bound on the edges with black, and measures 34 cm x 42.5 cm.
At present no hanging method is attached. I can add one of two possibilities, or you can make your own arrangements. I can stitch 3 rings along the back top, hidden from view, or I can add two corner pieces (see last photo, of corner on another piece) to hold a rod or dowel. Contact me to discuss these options.
