Rosella Song - Australian Tamworth Rhodonite Copper Pendant

This natural Australian Rhodonite comes from the Tamworth region of New South Wales. I loved the soft pink running through the stone, broken up by those darker, earthy markings that make every piece of Rhodonite a little different.

I’ve wrapped it by hand in copper, keeping the front fairly open as this stone really speaks for itself. The bail has been carefully handwoven and then the whole piece oxidised and polished back, giving the copper a warmer, aged finish that works beautifully with the pinks and darker tones in the stone.

I named this one Rosella Song. The beautiful pink colouring immediately made me think of Australian rosellas — bright flashes of colour that are such a familiar part of the Australian landscape. For a stone from Tamworth, Rosella Song just felt right.

Rhodonite is traditionally associated with compassion, emotional balance and forgiveness, and is often referred to as a stone of love and emotional healing.
