Autumn Flame is a one-of-a-kind pendant featuring a deep red garnet paired with warm, glowing sunstone.

I chose these two stones because their rich, earthy colours work so beautifully together—the garnet has a deep wine-red tone, while the sunstone brings a softer warmth and subtle shimmer.

Together they reminded me of the rich colours of autumn and the glow of a lingering flame, which is where the name came from.

I wrapped the stones by hand in copper wire, adding a woven bail and simple flowing details that allow both stones to remain the focus. The copper has been oxidised and polished back to bring out the detail in the wirework and complement the warm tones of the gemstones.

Garnet is the birthstone for January, and is often associated with strength, passion and vitality, while sunstone is traditionally associated with joy, confidence and optimism.

CARE

To keep the copper and gemstones looking their best, avoid contact with water, perfumes, oils and cleaning products, and store the pendant safely when it isn’t being worn.

As with all copper jewellery, some natural darkening may occur over time depending on wear and exposure. This is a normal characteristic of copper and can be gently polished to restore its shine.

As this piece is handmade using natural stones, small variations and inclusions are part of its individual character. Colours may appear slightly different depending on lighting and screen settings.
