Forgotten Seas – Fossil Copper Pendant
This one-of-a-kind pendant features a fascinating fossilised marine specimen, with beautiful earthy tones, intricate natural patterns and a cavity containing tiny pebbles naturally cemented into the stone.
I just loved this unusual little detail, which adds another layer of texture and character to a fossil already full of history. It's amazing to think of the natural processes that have shaped and preserved it over millions of years.
I've wrapped the fossil by hand in intricately woven copper, keeping the natural formations and pebble-filled cavity visible. The finished piece has been carefully oxidised and polished back to bring out the warmth, depth and detail of the copper work.
I named this one Forgotten Seas, a nod to the ancient marine environments and the traces of life preserved within the stone.
