Into the Night features a beautiful natural blue sapphire, individually wrapped by hand in silver-filled wire.

The sapphire has a rich, midnight-blue colour with natural variations running through the stone. There’s a lovely depth to it — dark and mysterious in some light, with softer shades of blue appearing as you look more closely.

I’ve kept the wirework flowing and relatively simple, using a woven bail and sweeping silver details to frame the stone without overwhelming it.

Its deep blue colouring reminded me of the night sky just after the last of the daylight disappears — hence the name Into the Night.

Sapphire is September’s traditional birthstone and has long been associated with wisdom, loyalty and truth, making this a lovely birthday gift or a meaningful piece for anyone drawn to this beautiful stone.

Each Traced in Stone pendant is individually handcrafted, making it truly one of a kind.
