These earrings feature hand-folded origami kite-shaped diamond pieces created from Japanese Yuzen Washi paper.
The washi is patterned with black and white checkerboard squares with Kanji (writing script/ Japanese characters) and pink and white cherry blossom flowers. To create each paper piece, I measure and cut from a larger sheet of paper, and fold into the final interlocking model.
The earrings are finished with black glass micro bugle beads, silver-coloured findings and a 20mm silver-plated hoop.
The origami piece has been lightly lacquered, but avoid getting wet. Very lightweight. Overall drop length is 5cm
