This piece was already in excellent condition for its age (a fine example of quality design and manufacturing of the era). I really didn't need to do anything for disassembly, 1 bolt and nut, that's it. So the challenge became how to make this piece stand out from the rest whilst keeping its original design. Well I think I have achieved this by an equally simplistic design using everything. The interchangeable lens had a broken corner but because the way I have placed it, its not noticeable unless you look very closely.

Mounted a globe holder through the mounting clamp on the interchangeable lens assembly, and the rest is history!

Finally mounted a selection of polished chrome dome nuts at the corners to enhance the already beautiful piece. Coated all paint and metal in commercial grade automotive wax then buffed to a semi-polished finish.

Comes mounted on timber decking, includes a dimmer switch and globe.

A really nice piece of movie camera history that would suit a variety of decor and anyone that has an appreciation for photography, film and television, vintage, antique or unusual rustic designs.

The Keystone Camera Company (a division of the Keystone Manufacturing Co.) was founded in 1919 in Boston, USA as a manufacturer of camera’s and photographic equipment. They were one of the pioneers of Motion Picture cameras and a major player from the 1930s thru to 60’s. During the 1930’s, they specialised in low cost 16mm cameras, many of which are still in use today by collectors due to their robust engineering and design. During WWII, they also produced an aerial camera known as the F8 which provided high quality images for the war effort.

The K25 Movie Camera had a solid metal body construction which made them ideal for harsher conditions, yet aesthetically was noted for its clean lines and upmarket exterior. One of the unique features was the ‘Dial-O-Matic’ that took the guesswork out of filming by simply turning the dial to match indoor/outdoor lighting conditions.

You can use a either a LED globe or the pictured Filament globe (recommended). Personally, I think either work well and enhance the overall look and style of the lamp. What you see in the photos is my recommendation and will give a nice warm effect in whatever setting it's placed.
