As with other pelargonium species all parts of the mint geranium plant are astringent, so a strained infusion makes a good skin toner. The leaves are also used for making poultices for bruises and sprains. And, like all scented geraniums, the leaves can be added to salads and desserts or used in the baking of cakes and biscuits. This variety gives a peppery mint flavour to jellies, jams and cookies. A hot cup of herbal tea with a few leaves of stevia and some fresh mint geranium leaves makes a refreshing and tangy morning tea.

All the herbs I sell are grown on my property and air-dried. I use no chemicals in the growing or processing of my herbs and source organic and open pollinated seed and plants from which to propagate wherever possible.
