Description
Have you ever looked up to the stars on a clear night and wondered what's out there with the stars? It's always been one of my favourite things to do, especially when I need a bit of grounding or get a bit stressed out.
This super cute miniature stained glass 'painting' of a clear starry night measures only 6cm x 9cm, and comes complete with mini easel. I've used a variety of different textured glasses for this one, to give a feel of depth between the landscape and sky, and have incorporated two very tiny, double-sided glass cabochons for the stars - if you look through them, you can see them magnify and twinkle!
I really enjoyed making this miniature 'painting' and love the fun, cartoon-style quality it brings. And while smaller DOESN'T mean simpler in stained glass terms (it's the opposite) - I'm super happy with how this one turned out and know it will suit all aesthetics, bringing a bit of joy and whimsy to any bedside table, work desk or book nook!
Fun fact: While this piece was made from my own hand-drawn pattern, it was inspired in equal parts by the great Van Gogh's Starry Night, and lo-fi anime from the 1980's.
