Division – Tasmanian Oak Wall Clock
Bold. Considered. Modern.
The Division clock is defined by its striking split design — natural Tasmanian oak on one half, deep matte black on the other. A strong vertical line divides the two, creating a bold architectural presence that commands a wall without overwhelming a space.
How It's Made
Each Division clock begins as a solid disc of Tasmanian oak, cut and shaped by hand in my workshop in Australia. The timber is sanded through progressive grits until smooth and the grain is fully revealed. The natural half is finished in a clear water-based protective coat that enhances the grain while protecting the timber. The opposite half is hand-painted in matte black. Raised numerals — black on the natural half, gold on the black half — are individually fitted by hand. Gold tone hands and an American-made Takane movement complete the clock before a final quality check.
No two Division clocks are identical. The grain and tone of the timber varies with every piece.
