Coastal – Tasmanian Oak Wall Clock

The Coastal clock replaces traditional numerals with hand-poured blue epoxy resin dots — subtle pools of deep ocean colour set into warm natural timber. The result is a refined, contemporary clock that feels both sculptural and functional, bringing coastal warmth into any interior without stating it too literally.
How It's Made
Each Coastal clock begins as a solid disc of Tasmanian oak, cut and shaped by hand in my workshop in Australia. The timber is sanded through progressive grits until smooth and the grain is fully revealed. Twelve individual recesses are then carefully marked and drilled at each hour position around the face. Deep blue epoxy resin is hand-poured into each recess individually, then left to cure before being sanded flush with the timber surface. A clear oil-based gloss finish is then hand-applied across the entire face, enhancing the grain depth and bringing out the richness of the resin colour. Black metal hands and an American-made Takane movement complete the clock before a final quality check.
No two Coastal clocks are identical. The timber grain varies and subtle differences in resin tone and depth occur naturally with each pour.

Available in two sizes — 30cm or 40cm diameter. Solid 17mm thick profile throughout.

Care
Wipe clean with a dry or lightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Keep away from direct moisture and prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the timber and resin finish.
