This beautiful bracelet has been woven into an “Ahoy” design; a nod to maritime traditions, where sailors used chain weaves to store rope neatly and decorate their gear. This weave produces a very tidy, smooth, and flexible chain.
This bracelet is made from 1.5mm diameter sterling silver wire purchased through a precious metal merchant.
The wire is cut into 100s of links, each link then opened, woven, and then closed meticulously for the length of the bracelet. A tiny disc is then stamped "sterling" and attached before being tumbled for a few hours to smooth all the surfaces and ensure a brilliant shine.
This bracelet weighs 34 grams, is 205mm long and 12mm wide, and has a parrot clasp.
To keep its brilliant sheen, it is recommended to occasionally dip the bracelet into a silver cleaning solution.
This bracelet can be posted anywhere in Australia from the Mornington Peninsula where it has been lovingly created.
