I've constructed this end-grain chopping board in my workshop in the Southern Highlands, using Black Walnut and Hard Rock Maple. The contrast between the dark walnut and the lighter maple, especially in the interlocking pattern. Each piece has been carefully cut, assembled and finished by hand.
The end-grain construction makes it a practical board for everyday food preparation, while the timber pattern also makes it a great piece to have on display in the kitchen.
