These long colourful floral earrings have been crafted from an exquisite upcycled Pierre Cardin silk tie and stainless steel connectors - sterling silver ear wires! The texture and colours catch the light beautifully as they dangle and dance around your face. They are super lightweight and comfortable to wear. Will be presented in a black velvet gift bag.

MATERIALS & TECHNIQUES

Many of the textiles I use are rescued from landfill or re-purposed fashion textiles, for e.g. discontinued interior textile samples; vintage Japanese kimono, obi & temple alter cloths; Rajasthani wedding gown fragments; hand stitched textiles from Turkey & Uzbekistan. Of course, I also love contemporary fashion textiles & lots of embellishments too... metallic threads, wires, beads, buttons, treasures from nature... basically all sorts of decorative objects!

Where appropriate, all materials & embellishments are adhered to a base textile or art paper using strong holding acid free adhesive or jewellery glue.
