Beautiful assortment of cotton fabrics with various under the sea pictures of fish, whales, coral, plants, and even mermaids, make up these gorgeous tote bags, with accents of upcycled light blue or dark blue denim.
The light blue denim is lined in a lavendar with white polka dots poplin. There is blue topstitching around the opening.
The dark blue denim is lined in a pale pink with white polka dots, and is top-stitched in pink.
I have designed the pattern for these bags myself.
The flat handles are made from either the light blue or dark blue denim and are top stitched for more support. During the making process, the handles are stitched in five (5) times.
The size of these bags is:
- width 16-1/4" (41cm);
- height (not icluding the base) 11" (28cm);
- base and sides are 5" wide (12.7cm); and
- the handles are each 18" (48.3cm) long for the light blue denim, and 17" (43cm) for the dark blue denim.
- These bags can be machine washed in a mild detergent. The bag can be ironed, but you will need to put another piece of material over the label to iron it or the print will lift off.
These are beautiful bags to use to go out casually, or as a shopping tote.
