This set of three Christmas decorations features my original watercolour paintings of eucalyptus, golden wattle and bottlebrush, each painted by hand in the soft, loose style that is part of Paper & Palette Studio.

The watercolour paintings are mounted onto reclaimed timber rounds, allowing the natural timber to form a simple frame around each botanical design. Turn them over and you'll find the Paper & Palette Studio maker's mark engraved into the timber; a little reminder of the hands and studio they came from.

Rather than following the bright colours and plastic finishes of many Christmas decorations, these have been made for a slower kind of Christmas. One filled with natural materials, familiar Australian foliage and decorations you'll want to bring out again year after year.

Materials

Watercolour paper, watercolour paint, timber and cotton cord.

Each decoration is individually handmade and painted, so small variations in colour, brushwork and timber are part of its character.

Please note: The watercolour artwork has intentionally been left unsealed to preserve the beautiful brightness of the paint and natural whiteness of the watercolour paper. These decorations are intended for indoor use and should be kept dry.
