Welcome to the Magpie Sisters--Thelma, Mavis and Shazza! These three feisty Party girls are full of cheekiness and spice and will cheer up your day.
The work is lovingly handmade --Magpies are one of my favourite Australian birds, reminding me of my childhood on the farm. The piece is hand embroidered on felt using DMC embroidery thread. I love creating in textiles and fibres, the feeling of bringing something alive from an idea in your head, to sketches, to the peaceful stitching of the design and fun of developing their little story.
You can choose how you display your Magpie Sisters--people who have purchased other Party Animals have framed them, pinned them to noticeboards in their workspace, kept them on their desk--anywhere they can see them daily and get that happy feeling from these three magpies.
