Meet Carl the Quoll!
He is a cool, suave little fellow,hand embroidered with love onto a felt base using DMC embroidery cottons. The work is approx 8cm x 8 cm. I worked with Quoll species in my previous career and there is a soft spot in my heart for them. I have been able to combine my love of textiles and colour and creating little stories to bring my little animals to life.
Carl has his own little story which will be provided as a printed copy too.
Here is Carls story.... "Carl was a Spot tailed Quoll... yes you heard correctly...a Quoll. It always bothered Carl that it sounded a bit like a noise that would come out of Gollums mouth, but what can you do hey. Nevertheless he thought he was a pretty cool, suave creature of the night. Whatever you do...dont call him Crepuscular...or he will storm off in a mighty Quoll Huff.
He loved a Party, wearing his aviator sunglasses and one of his innumerable multicoloured outfits. Carl spent many hours before a Party, twirling in front of his mirror trying to choose the best outfit to set off his gorgeous spotted coat and capture the mood.
He was a mad keen dancer and could hold his own on the dance floor. Any music, any beat, he could dance to it...that Quoll had rhythm.
But his cool, suave exterior collapsed anytime Mitzi the Fairy Armadillo brought out her bubble mix. It was his Kryptonite, for under that cool facade Carl was just a happy chappy who could spend the entire evening blowing and chasing bubbles."
