White hand made high fired stoneware vase with abstract designs painted in a delicate blues, greens, yellow, red and black colours with black linework under a clear satin glaze. This vase is water proof, is a uniquely hand crafted design that would make a perfect gift for any occasion. There may be some minor imperfections such as smudges or very small brown iron spots that don't affect functionality, as is to be expected in hand made high fired pottery. Approximate size: 15.5cm high, 8.5cm wide. Item is made from high fired clay and is inspired by Chinese and Japanese brush painting.

These artisan made items are thrown on the pottery wheel and are decorative as well as functional, and can add a creative and artistic touch to your home. I throw, glaze and fire my pottery in my home studio, firing in a solar powered electric kiln, having studied at Sydney's National Art School gaining the Certificate of Studio Ceramics. These items are fired to approximately 1270 C which makes them very durable if used with care. The bottom has been ground smooth.
