Mixed Colourful Red and Blue Porcelain Coasters

The three (3) coasters are individual each with a different design. Not your usual type of coasters these are mini art pieces. With beautiful Japanese inspired design and a textured surface they look and feel so nice.

To what use can you put these coasters to? Placing drinking cups or glasses on (hot and cold), a funky base for small pot plants or vase, to rest a cooking spoon or ladle, an alternative to serving salt and pepper at the table, a soap dish....many possibilities.

The practical bit about the 3 coasters:
• 9.5 cm in size and 0.2 cm thickness
• Made with porcelain and Japanese tissue transfer design
• Not suitable to use with wet food
• Can be used indoors and outdoors
• Hand wash in warm soapy water, if dirty
• Made in Melbourne


I make these coasters in my home studio sourcing my clay and glaze from a Brunswick, Melbourne pottery studio. I also get my pieces fired in a kiln (best description is a very special very high temperature oven to cook clay!) twice at the same place. First to make the porcelain hard so that I can apply the Japanese tissue transfer design. The second firing fixes the design and turns the porcelain into these beautiful pieces.
