This one-of-a-kind bag combines a handmade patchwork quilt top with vintage pre-loved fabrics, creating a practical and unique accessory with plenty of character. Every piece is individually handmade by me, so no two bags are exactly alike.

Materials: Pre-loved, thrifted and vintage textiles, including a handmade quilt top and vintage fabrics from a sewer's destash.

Exterior

The exterior features a unique patchwork design made from small rectangular strips of fabric arranged in a horizontal pattern.

• Reinforced with Vlieseline H640 Wadding for added structure and durability
• A softer bag rather than a structured style — it does not stand on its own
• Boxed base to provide depth and a defined bottom
• Outer slip pocket made from the quilt fabric, with the patchwork rectangles arranged vertically
• Made from pre-loved and thrifted textiles

Interior

The interior is made from a vintage fabric with a light green background featuring large red and pink flowers outlined in white.

• Reinforced with Pellon SF101 Woven Fusible Interfacing for strength and durability
• Inner slip pocket made from the same vintage interior fabric and lined with another vintage destash fabric featuring a colourful floral pattern
• Inner zipper pocket with a vintage fabric lining
• Dark pink second-hand zipper purchased from Achieve Australia’s The Sewing Basket
• Made from pre-loved vintage and destash fabrics

Closure- The bag closes securely with a cream-coloured zipper featuring a silver butterfly zipper pull.

Straps- Two comfortable handbag straps made from the patchwork quilt fabric on the upper side and the green vintage floral fabric underneath.

New Materials- This bag incorporates a small number of new materials where required for quality, durability or because suitable second-hand alternatives were unavailable:

• One of the two zippers

Please Note- Every item is individually handmade by me. While I take great care to ensure consistency, slight variations in dimensions, pattern placement and finish are a natural part of the handmade process. These individual characteristics are what make each piece unique.

Care- Spot clean only. Line dry in the shade. Warm iron if required — avoid ironing over the zippers as heat may damage or melt them.
