A timeless vintage-inspired clutch in rich red woven tweed. Handmade with carefully selected pre-loved fabrics and finished with an ornate vintage button. Structured, practical and fully-lined, this elegant little purse is designed to add a touch of vintage character to any outfit.

Designed and sewn by Katie in her home studio in the Sutherland Shire, NSW.

Materials

Exterior

• A red woven tweed suiting fabric with a cross-hatch pattern of short, contrasting white dashes.
• Reinforced with Decovil Light stabiliser
• Boxed base so the clutch stands on its own

Interior

• A woven cotton fabric with a bright red background featuring a pattern of tiny, uniform white cross-stitches.
• Reinforced with Pellon SF101 Woven Fusible Interfacing
• Pockets: One slip pocket made from the interior fabric, sized to fit keys, cards or lip balm.

Closure The clutch closes with a functional ornate vintage gold and black pre-loved button.

Materials & upcycling

The exterior tweed and interior cotton are both pre-loved fabrics sourced from The Sewing Basket, a social enterprise supporting Achieve Australia.

New materials used are limited to stabiliser, thread and the cotton label, where suitable pre-loved alternatives weren't available.

Care Spot clean only. Line dry in shade. Warm iron.
