The larger turquoise blanket just begged for me to add a mixture of beautiful pastel colours to bring it to life. With a pile of pinks, blues and various green pieces at the ready, the Pastel Charm slowly gathered itself into a blended quilt of calm and serenity. From vintage curtains and sheets to forgotten garments, I gather these beautiful textiles to give them a new, purposeful life. Every piece is recreated with intention, carrying its unique history forward into your home.

For Pastel Charm I chose each vintage cotton for its colour and history — many of these beautiful fabrics were sourced from vintage fabric sellers and garage sales. I structured the quilt design so that each colour created a soft blend with the turquoise colour, with a double-stitched edge of each block for added strength. Everything was then pieced over a turquoise wool blanket and slowly sewn into place.
