For Amber Stitches I chose each vintage cotton for its colour and history — many of these beautiful fabrics were sourced from vintage fabric sellers and garage sales. I structured the quilt design so the orange and yellow hues set a bold and beautiful design, with a double-stitched edge of each block for added strength. Everything was then pieced over a soft orange wool blanket and slowly sewn into place.
