Joining Madeit.

Each month, we open up a limited number of spots for new artisans to join Madeit. To make sure every new Artisan is supported, we accept applications in waves. This allows us to personally guide you through setup with live onboarding sessions and the tools you need to thrive.

🎯 The Application Process

1. Applications Open Monthly

Each month, applications open around the middle of the month and close on the last day of the month. You’ll receive an email with the exact dates and a reminder to apply when the next round is live.

2. Submit Your Application

Tell us about you, your handmade creations, and why you want to join Madeit. This helps us curate a strong, values-aligned artisan community.

3. Review & Selection

We review applications in waves during the open period. Approved artists will receive an invitation to join and access everything needed to get started.

4. Onboard With Support

Once approved, you’ll be invited to a live onboarding Zoom session to guide you through setup and success on Madeit.

These sessions are held on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month.

Madeit Pricing

Madeit charges ZERO commission on your sales. Instead, we keep it simple with a flat processing fee of 2% + 35¢ per order and a monthly membership based on your store size. Plans start at $10/month for up to 15 products, with options for 50 or 100 products. There are no setup fees and no hidden charges, just clear, upfront pricing designed to support your growth.

What You’ll Need to Apply

Before applications open, make sure you’re ready with:

🖐 Proof of your handmade process (photos of your hands at work help us a lot)

📸 Clear product images (these really matter) you will need 3-5.

🧑‍🎨 A photo of you, your logo, and a short description of your creative practice

🇦🇺 Confirmation that you live permanently in Australia

This helps us make sure you’re a great fit for the platform and that Madeit will work for you too.

Product Images for Your Application

You will need to submit 3-5 product images that showcase your handmade work.

These images help us see whether you’re ready to start selling online. They don’t need to be perfect, but they do need to show your products clearly and in their best light.

This step matters because we want to set you up for success. Strong imagery helps you connect with customers and also ensures that we keep the overall quality of the Madeit platform high.

Madeit Handmade Benchmarks

Before applying, please take a moment to check that your creations meet our handmade benchmarks. At Madeit, we celebrate genuine Australian handmade work. This means your products must be made by you, not just assembled from pre-made parts.

We look for hands-on processes that show your skill and creativity, whether it's sewing, painting, sculpting, or crafting from scratch.

If you're unsure, we encourage you to share behind-the-scenes photos in your application so we can understand your process. Our goal is to maintain the integrity of what handmade truly means for both artists and customers.
