Magnolia!

This is one of my favourite flowers and I have represented one here in hand cut stained glass.

Within the mosaic I have used various shades of pink, purple and white for the flower and various green for the leaves and stem, along with some grey for the shading. The background I have kept to a plain white so that the vase and flower are the main feature of the piece.

The base that the mosaic is adhered to is a hand cut lightweight foam core board and once it was finished, it has been professionally framed in a natural oak float frame. The hanging hardware has also been installed so will arrive ready to hang.

The frame measures 33cm x 41cm.
