Hazel – Hand-Knit Squirrel Friend

Every now and then, a project comes along that reminds me why I love to make.

Hazel was one of those pieces.

She was the first squirrel I’d ever knitted, and I loved every part of bringing her to life. From choosing her warm woodland colours to knitting her beautifully textured little dress, she seemed to come together exactly as I’d imagined. Made from wonderfully soft alpaca yarn, every stitch felt like it belonged, and watching her personality emerge with each new piece made her one of my favourite creations to make.

Finished with carefully embroidered features and thoughtful attention to every detail, Hazel is a gentle woodland friend designed to be treasured for years to come. I hope she brings as much joy to her future home as she brought me while I was making her.

Crafted from premium alpaca yarn, Hazel is irresistibly soft with a creamy hand-stitched chest and a luxuriously fluffy tail. Measuring approximately 22cm tall, she’s perfectly sized for cuddles, imaginative play or as a charming keepsake on a nursery shelf.

She wears a removable blush pink cotton knit dress featuring a beautifully textured stitch pattern reminiscent of tiny woodland acorns. Two small buttons at the back make dressing and undressing easy, while her knitted shoes and cocoa-striped leggings are worked into her body so there are no loose accessories to misplace.

Please Note: Contains small buttons and is not suitable for children under 3 years of age. Adult supervision is recommended during play.

Care: Hand wash gently with mild detergent and lay flat to dry.
