The humble tea towel! Mum loved linen tea towels and was forever buying them and I am still using some of them today! My take on these are a little different, but no less practical and beautiful.

This tea towel is a generous size (50cm x 70cm), 100% linen, pre washed, hemmed, and has a hanging loop sewn in. The threads used are 100% cotton sashiko threads that will weave their way into the linen as you wash it (and yes, it will look better and better the more you wash it!).

Hand embroidered in style that is inspired by Japanese sashiko, this is a freestyle design, ie no pattern used, and stitched in black and taupe with a touch of red.

Threads used are 100% cotton, and every stitch is done by me!

It's a unique one of a kind item that's not too pretty to be used! It would be a lovely gift for any occasion, but I'm thinking it would be beautiful as a housewarming gift or dare I say it, for mum on Mother's Day!
