Looking for a seaside get away but can't go? Maybe these earrings will help you imagine being there. They feature a sweet little dolphin frolicking through the blue polymer clay waves.
The clay is conditioned (made soft and pliable) by passing it through a pasta machine ( yes, my top tool for the polymer process) until it's smooth and shiny. I pressed a texture mat until the pattern is even and all the lumps and bumps are complete on the top of the clay. The result is a lovely clear design which I then cut into the desired shapes, bake, sand and finish with clear UV resin. I then carefully select the best findings, including in this case a white and gold finished dolphin, a pretty gold sparkly bail and simple gold plated stainless steel stud.
As with all my pieces, they're an original design, made by me in my little studio in Hobart, Tasmania and postage is free.
