An every day style with a great design of doors and lines and abstract geometric patterns these earrings are made using polymer clay and a transfer pattern sheet. The clay is conditioned (made soft and pliable) by passing it through a pasta machine ( yes, my top tool for the polymer process) until it's smooth and shiny. I laid a transfer paper onto the top of the clay then spray it with water until the transfer adheres to the clay. lt is permanent once it dries, then I cut it into the desired shapes, bake, sand and finish with clear UV resin. I then carefully select the best findings, in this case a simple stainless steel stud to let the beauty of the design shine through and a silver loop to accent the pattern.
As with all my pieces, they're an original design, made by me in my little studio in Hobart, Tasmania and postage is free.
