These little tear drops are accompanied by little fresh water pearls.
The tear drops are etched to apply the patter
When etching on any metal you need to apply a resistant. You do this by drawing or stamping a design on the metal using an ink pad if you are stamping or a sharpie texta if you are drawing free hand.
Once you finish your design you pop the piece into Ferric Acid, this acid removes all of the metal that has no ink revealing the inked pattern. The metal stays in the solution for about 30 to achieve the etch, one it’s done you wash in bicarbonate soda and warm water to reveal the gorgeous effect.
Each earring measures :
Brass tear drop 2cm x1.5cm
Pearls 1cm approx
Total drop from top of the ear hook to the bottom of the tear drop measures 4.5cm long
The ear hooks are made from Argentium silver
*Argentium silver is hypoallergenic and low tarnish
*Argentium is certified 100% recycled.
*These earrings are made from recycled copper and enamel
