I've really enjoyed creating new designs on my rigid heddle loom this year with a technique called pick-up stick weaving. This is manipulating specific warp threads to create textured patterned floats. Yarn skipping over or under others, that break the standard over/under plain weave.
This scarf has been handwoven with a blue Cleckheaton country wool, with this particular one having flecks of brown throughout, adding even more texture, to a beautiful tactile pattern.
The pattern created is actually different on the back, making it a reversible scarf, depending on which side you like! Each scarf is always uniquely handwoven, meaning no two pieces are exactly alike.
Made from 85% Australian Wool, 10% Acrylic and 5% Viscose and made in Australia. This scarf is soft and warm, a versatile accessory, perfectly balances sustainable craftsmanship with everyday comfort. The simplicity and texture are a perfect match and suitable for anyone and any wardrobe.
