This handwoven cotton scarf has been inspired by a new year of experimentation, of trying something new. In this design i've created a leno weave. This technique usually features an open, lacy, mesh-like structure, created by twisting adjacent warp threads around each other to lock the weft in place. I have created decorative bands with plain weave for a unique design.

I have used a green cotton from Bendigo Woollen Mills in Victoria for this scarf. The leno weave helps the texture and feel to be exceptionally light, soft and breathable, with a delicate, feminine, or intricate appearance.
