Layered washes of slate, misty blue, and deep indigo create two richly textured shapes, divided by a narrow line of untouched paper. Subtle traces of soft pink appear within the upper form, adding warmth and vulnerability to the cool, atmospheric palette. The pigments have naturally bloomed, separated, and settled across the paper, creating intricate details that make this piece entirely unique.
Painted slowly and intuitively by hand in my Melbourne home studio, “Held Apart” is a true one-of-a-kind miniature artwork. No prints or reproductions have been made.
