Vintage-inspired vegan lipstick handmade by me, with rich, buildable colour, in a reusable aluminium slide tin. Doubles as a cream blush! Includes a mini lip brush.
The convenient slide tin gives you 15 grams of lipstick - roughly 3 times the amount, and a third of the price as a conventional tube.
If you have any empty Lipbalm tubes you might like to remove some lipstick from the tin, melt it in a heat bath, and pour it into your tube!
For those who are discerning with their makeup ingredients - this lipstick contains no titanium dioxide, lake colours, carmine, essential oils, artificial fragrance, or flavour.
The lipstick is made with natural ingredients, and coloured with non-toxic synthetically prepared iron oxides - free from the impurities found in naturally occurring.
INGREDIENTS
Candelilla Wax, Castor Oil, Cocoa Butter, Meadowfoam Seed Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Vitamin E and Iron Oxides.
Non-nano zinc oxide is used in selected shades.*
CHESTNUT
Chestnut is a rich, earthy brown with warm burnt-red undertones—deeper than a classic nude but softer than a dark chocolate brown. Inspired by vintage autumnal lip colours, it gives the lips a warm, sophisticated finish that can appear terracotta-brown on lighter lips and a beautifully natural reddish-brown on deeper lip tones.
WARM PEACH
Warm Peach is a sun-warmed peach with gentle golden and earthy undertones. Fresh without appearing overly bright or orange, it gives the lips a naturally warm, vintage-inspired colour. The shade may appear as a delicate peachy nude on deeper natural lip tones and a warmer golden peach on lighter lips.
MUTED RED
Muted Red is an earthy red with warm brick and subtle brown undertones. Rich without appearing overly bright, it offers an alternative to a classic red lip. Its timeworn, vintage-inspired character makes it an elegant everyday shade that adapts to the wearer’s natural lip colour.
DARK PINK
Dark Pink is a deep pink with rich rosewood and earthy brown undertones. It has a warm, vintage depth—sitting beautifully between an antique rose and a soft reddish-brown. The shade may appear rosier or deeper depending on your natural lip colour.
RAISIN
Raisin is a deep burgundy-brown with wine-red and earthy undertones. Raisin especially suits medium to deep skin tones and neutral, cool or olive undertones
BRICK RED
Brick Red is a rich, earthy red with warm terracotta and subtle brown undertones. It especially suits warm, neutral and olive undertones; it looks bold on fair skin and beautifully grounded on medium to deep skin tones.
ANTIQUE ROSE
A deep, muted rose with earthy red-brown undertones and a timeless vintage finish.

Lipstick FAQ
How do I apply it? (Tinned lipstick)
Pick up a small amount with a clean lip brush or fingertip and apply it to your lips. Build the colour gradually to your preferred intensity.
Do I need a lip brush?
A lip brush gives you more precise application, especially around the edges. Clean fingers can also work for a softer, more casual look. A mini lip brush is included with each lipstick.
Is the colour buildable?
Yes. Apply a thin layer for a softer wash of colour, then add more for a deeper look.
What finish does it have?
It has a balm-like lipstick texture. The finish may vary slightly depending on the shade and how much you apply.
Are the shades true to the photos?
The photos show the shades as accurately as possible, but colours may vary between screens and can look different on different lips.
How long does it last?
Wear time varies with eating, drinking and how much you use your lips. You may need to reapply during the day.
Will it transfer?
As with most natural / creamy lip colours, some transfer may occur. Blotting gently after application can leave a lighter finish.
Is it vegan?
Yes, this product is vegan.
What are the ingredients?
Please see the full ingredient list in the listing or on the product label. Ingredient lists can differ between shades.
How do I keep it clean?
Use a clean lip brush or clean hands, and close the tin after use. Avoid sharing the product or getting water into it.
How should I store it?
Keep the tin closed and store it somewhere cool and dry, away from direct sunlight and heat. High temperatures may soften the product.
Is it suitable for sensitive lips?
Everyone’s lips are different. Check the ingredient list before use, and stop using it if irritation occurs.
Why is titanium dioxide sometimes controversial?
Titanium dioxide (CI 77891) is a white pigment used to brighten colours and improve coverage. The concern people often hear about relates mainly to breathing in fine particles—for example, from sprays or airborne powders. That’s different from applying a cream or balm to the skin.
Safety advice also depends on the product’s form and how it’s used. For example, the European Commission’s consumer-safety committee found concerns with titanium dioxide in hair sprays that could be inhaled, while its assessment considered up to 25% in typical loose face powder safe for consumers.
Some people choose to avoid titanium dioxide as a personal precaution. Its presence alone doesn’t mean a makeup product is harmful; the type of product, particle properties and likely exposure all matter.
Titanium dioxide in lipstick: A small amount of lipstick can be unintentionally swallowed during normal wear. A 2024 review by the European Commission’s consumer-safety committee found that current evidence could not rule out a potential concern for most titanium dioxide grades used in oral cosmetics. This is an area of scientific uncertainty, not proof that using lipstick causes harm. The grade and particle properties matter, and each person’s exposure varies with how much lipstick they use. Some people choose to avoid it as a precaution.
In the EU, nano titanium dioxide can’t be used in products that could expose the user’s lungs through inhalation. A particular nano form with an alumina and manganese dioxide coating also must not be used on lips. These are specific restrictions, not a ban on all titanium dioxide in makeup or lipstick. The EU’s ban on titanium dioxide as a food additive is separate from its rules for cosmetics.
In Australia, I haven’t identified a cosmetic-specific restriction on titanium dioxide in ordinary products such as lipstick. Cosmetic ingredients and products still need to meet the applicable Australian requirements.
